Kevin Longa filmed with chef, restaurateur, TV producer and cookbook writer, Zdeněk Pohlreich. He’s considered by many as the Gordon Ramsay of Czech Republic.
Zdeněk Pohlreich was able to ‘bulldoze’ his country from subpar Communist food to internationally-recognized dining with his restaurants (Café Imperial, Divinis, Next Door by Imperial and Wheels), his TV shows (Ano, šéfe!; The Chef’s Cooking Now!; Heat It Up, Chef!; Czechia Cooks with Pohlreich Live; Cook Like the Chef!; Chef on a Grill) and his cookbooks (The Italian Cookbook, Fresh Cooking, Sugarfree Cookbook for the Little and the Big, My Home Cooking, The Culinarium, Vietnamese Cookbook, Light Cooking, No Foods Barred, Words from Inside, Heat it Up Chef!, Grilling).
Although he might be a tough boss in the kitchen, it was incredibly fun and hilarious to film with him. You'll learn why in the video.

What is TASTE?
TASTE With Kevin Longa (or TASTE, for short) is a documentary series created by filmmaker Kevin Longa that reveals the true, undiscovered stories of the real people who make our food around the globe.
We believe that nothing brings people together better than food and stories - especially if you're hungry to explore Beyond the Plate in front of you.
Who is Kevin Longa?
Kevin Longa is an internationally award-winning documentary filmmaker. He explores world cultures through the perspective of food and the lens of the camera.
Kevin has made films ever since he was eight, but it wasn’t until he turned 11 that food entered his consciousness. Obesity plagued his childhood and when a nurse warned him that he was on his way to type two diabetes and daily insulin injections, he was scared straight. He began to change his ways. He exercised daily until butter seeped out of his pores, and learned about food the best way he knew how: through his camera. He created his first food documentary film in high school.
He continues the journey to this day.
